U10/U12 Softball : Practices Start End of March - 

All games will be played through GALS and hosted in Caldwell. Age divisions are based on player birthdate and verified through Idaho Softball.

U10:Born on or after September 1st, 2014

U12: Born on or after September 1st, 2012.

Registration Fee: $75 per player, $10 late fee may apply after March 15th

Provided by PARK: Jersey ( returned at end of season) Baseball hat or visor

Required by player: Black softball pants, black or red socks, black or red belt. Softball mitt and cleats. Facemask highly recommended.

  • Who can participate in this league?: This league is open to players of any experience. Players ages: A player born on or after September 1, 2014: 10u A player born on or after September 1, 2012: 12u
  • How to verify players age?: Families will need to upload players birth certificate to verify age of player through Idaho Softball https://idahosoftball.com/ Coaches will email link to Idaho Softball to join team and upload birth certificate. Any questions or problems with uploading, please ask coach or Stacey Clifton
  • How long is the season and schedule?: Practices begin end of March and games being end of April. All games will be at the GALS Softball Complex in Caldwell, Idaho.
  • How to communicate?: All communication primarily will go through Team Sidelines. Coaches may also communicate via text messages if necessary.
  • Uniforms?: PARK will provide the players jersey. Each player will be provided a baseball hat/visor to keep. Players are responsible for: black softball pants, red or black softball( long sports) socks and red or black softball belt. Jersey will need be returned at the end of the season
  • Mandatory Equipment: Gloves: Every player must have a softball glove to participate. Baseball gloves are not suitable, as they are too shallow to properly catch a softball. Fastpitch softball glove sizes typically recommended: Infielders: 11.5–12.5 inches Outfielders: 12–13 inches
  • Mandatory Equipment:Cleats: Every player must wear cleats during games. Rubber cleats are strongly recommended, as some fields and games do not allow metal cleats.
  • Optional Equipment: Face Masks: Protective face masks are not required, but they are strongly recommended, especially for players who play infield positions. Face masks help protect against facial injuries from line drives, pop-ups, and hard-hit balls. They give players added confidence in the field, especially for younger or less experienced athletes.
  • Other optional equipment: Batting Helmet: All players must wear a helmet when batting. Helmets must include a face guard and chin strap. Players may bring their own if they prefer. Bats: Players may bring their own bat. PARK provides bats, but length and quality may vary. Catching Gear: PARK provides catching gear if needed, but players may bring their own personal gear if they prefer.
